Michael Horn discusses the history of the Florida Virtual School with David Colon, Academic Dean at Collegiate School.

Participants from Arena y Esteras (Peru), Pregones (Bronx, NY, USA), Tswelopele Performing Artists (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Sering (Borgerhout, Belgium) sit together to work out a common program for the next four years. The Worldwide Virtual School aims to bring people from different communities and countries together to create together. Theatre productions will be put on the internet for the use of schools and social organisations. The core group of the Virtual School meets in Belgium from May 4th till 12th. Other social-artistic and community theatres from our network will join in the discussions. Unfortunately, representatives from our new partner from Iraq, Red Zone Company in Baghdad, were refused their entry visa into Europe. We hope nonetheless to be able to integrate them into our co-operation. Let Art and Peace overcome bureaucracy, paranoia and war!

Welcome to My Virtual School.
A virtual school is basically an institution that teaches courses primarily through online methods. Though there are tens of thousands of commercial and non-accredited courses available online, the term “virtual school” is generally reserved for accredited schools that teach a full-time course of instruction. Virtual public and private schools serving every grade level including graduate programs may elect to pursue accreditation through various regional and national organizations.
As we said above, all student services are conducted through Internet technology. The virtual school differ from the traditional school through the physical media that links administrators, teachers and students. Many states in the United States have their own virtual school, and many of them have students numbering in the thousands.
My Virtual School is your resource for virtual schooling information with virtual school videos, virtual school articles, and conversations about virtual high schools, virtual middle schools, etc. Thanks for visiting MyVirtualSchool.org.
